Introduction

Nha Trang city is located in the center of Khanh Hoa province. It borders Ninh Hoa town to the north, Cam Ranh city to the south, Dien Khanh district to the west, and the sea to the east. The total area of the city is 252.6 km² with 27 basic administrative units including 19 wards and 8 communes. Nha Trang is 1,280 km from Hanoi and 448 km from Ho Chi Minh City.
Nha Trang Bay is located in the center of Southeast Asia with the same distance to neighboring countries. Visitors from Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia only spend 2 hours of flight reaching this wonderful tourist destination to enjoy the ideal landscape and environment after stressful working hours.
Nha Trang has a tropical monsoon climate influenced by the ocean climate, so it is very mild, the winters are less cold, the dry season is long but not harsh, so it is sunny almost all year round. Tourists can come and visit in any season of the year. Nha Trang Bay is 507 km2 wide and is not windy all year round. There are light waves in the dry season and the city is surrounded by large and small islands. The largest island is Hon Tre Island with an area of roughly 3,300 hectares, which is sheltered offshore. The smallest island is Hon Noc Island, with an area of about 4 hectares. On the sunny days, when looking at the city from above, Nha Trang beach bends like a soft embrace holding the blue bay. Nha Trang Bay is a harmonious society offering rich and unique elements of mountains, rivers, sea, islands, fields, lagoons, streets, villages; and is also a rare natural model of bay and lagoon systems in the world with biodiversity, which is having most of the typical ecosystems of a tropical sea. The coconut and casuarina groves are always whispering in the sea breeze along the long stretch of white sand and colorful lights shining at night, adding to the romantic and poetic beauty of Nha Trang Bay. Since June 2003, Nha Trang Bay has become a member of the Club "The most beautiful bays in the world". On 25 March 2005, Nha Trang Bay was classified as a Landscape by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism).
Nha Trang - a city with a gentle name like a beautiful and charming girl. Some researchers said that "Nha Trang" is derived from the Vietnamese pronunciation of the Champa sound with the place name "Yja Tran" (or "Ea Trang") which means "Lau River", where the Cai river flows through an area that grew a lot of reeds before going to the sea. Nha Trang has a history of formation from the 17th century (1653) and gone through nearly four centuries up to now. Throughout the history of formation and development, Nha Trang has been constantly referred to as the "The City by Blue Sea", "Pearl of the East Sea", "Sunshine Deck", etc. The City has been reaching out to become one of the golden tourist destinations - resorts domestically and internationally. Before being merged into Dai Viet, Nha Trang was one of the cultural and religious capitals of the Champa nation. There are many relics of the Cham people, most notably the Po Nagar Tower. Therefore, tourists want to set foot in Nha Trang to have the opportunity to see the ancient and modern city in the cultural cradle of the two ethnic groups Chiem - Viet.
Nha Trang is now a grade I urban city directly under Khanh Hoa province. The city is the political, economic and cultural center of Khanh Hoa province; and also the science and technology center, education - training and services in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands. The city has lots of prestigious universities, colleges, scientific, educational, medical and cultural institutions such as Institute of Oceanography, Nha Trang Pasteur Institute, Nha Trang University, Khanh Hoa University, etc. that attracts local and foreign people and tourists to study, research, treat and visit. 
Nha Trang also has rivers winding around the city alongside immense rice fields. The river system with the coast and seaport in Nha Trang creates a convenient waterway system for tourism as well as trade. In addition to water transport that has a history of hundreds of years, the city also develops a synchronous road, rail and air transport system. Cam Ranh International Airport is only 30 km from Nha Trang city center, which effectively serves the arrival and departure needs of domestic and foreign tourists. The city's infrastructure such as Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard, the expanded itineraries such as Pham Van Dong, Vo Nguyen Giap and newly-built or expanded bridges such as Tran Phu, Binh Tan or Xom Bong connect the city center with the airport, ports and new residential areas. The public transport system like buses is heavily invested to achieve enormous improvement with a stable bus route network, which meets daily commuting needs of local people and tourists.
Nha Trang has a great number of interesting attractions, entertainment and resorts such as Vin Wonder, Hon Tam, Hon Mun, Hon Chong, Long Son Pagoda, Ponagar Tower, Cathedral Church, Institute of Oceanography, etc. Additionally, the city also has some famous tourist destinations such as: Vinpearl Resort, Diamond Bay Resort and Spa, Thap Ba Nha Trang Hot Spring Tourism Center, I-Resort Nha Trang Hot Spring, Mud Bathing Tourist Area - Hundred Egg and shopping centers such as Dam Market, Nha Trang Center, Vincom Plaza on Thai Nguyen Street, Le Thanh Ton Street, Coopmart, GO and Lotte Mart supermarkets. 
The scenic spots, entertainment areas and shopping places are located relatively close to each other, which are really convenient for commuting by different means of transport such as walking, bicycle, bus, car and so on.
